Receipt scan failed or extracted wrong amounts
Lay the receipt flat, ensure it is fully in frame, and avoid heavy shadows. If the AI extracts the wrong values, correct them manually on the confirmation screen before saving. Still getting bad results consistently? Email us with a photo of the receipt and we will investigate.
Transactions are missing after signing in on a new device
Cloud sync may still be running. Wait a few minutes and pull down on the transaction list to refresh. Make sure you are signed in with the same account (same Apple ID or email). If data is still missing after 10 minutes, contact support.
Location is not attaching to receipt scans
Check that MyBudget has location permission in your device Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > MyBudget. Set it to "While Using the App". If this is already set, try scanning again — location can take a moment to resolve in poor signal areas.
The app is crashing or very slow
Update to the latest app version from the App Store. Then restart your device. If crashes continue, email us with your device model, iOS version, and what you were doing when the crash occurred.
