Accessibility Statement

Logical Solutions Innovations (Pty) Ltd is committed to making CountaBill usable by people of all abilities. This statement covers the CountaBill iOS app (and Android when launched) and this website. It is written to support the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882), the UK Equality Act 2010, and South Africa's PEPUDA.
Conformance status
We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA on the web and Apple's Human Interface Guidelines accessibility patterns in the app.

We update this page as items are resolved rather than waiting for a full pass.
What is supported
- VoiceOver / TalkBack — primary navigation, sign-in, add transaction, budgets, and receipt confirmation.
- Dynamic Type — text scales with your operating system setting.
- Reduce Motion — transitions honour the OS setting.
- Dark mode and high contrast — system dark mode supported.
- Keyboard navigation (web) — every interactive element is reachable by Tab.
- No autoplay audio or video anywhere in the app or on this site.
Known limitations
We would rather list these honestly than claim a conformance level we have not reached. If you hit a barrier that is not on this list, please tell us — it goes to the top of the queue.
- Some icon-only buttons on newer screens still lack accessibility labels.
- Charts on the Insights screen do not yet expose their data to VoiceOver. A numeric summary alternative is planned.
- The receipt-crop screen relies on visual interaction. A "skip crop" fallback exists and is announced by VoiceOver.
- Colour is occasionally the only signal (for example red or green for over and under budget). Text labels accompany it in most places, but a full audit is still pending.
How we test
- iOS: manual VoiceOver walk-through of the top ten flows, Accessibility Inspector, and Dynamic Type at XL.
- Web: axe-core automated scan, manual keyboard walk-through, Lighthouse accessibility score.
- No formal third-party audit has been carried out yet. One is planned within 12 months of launch.
Alternative ways to get things done
While the items above are being fixed, these routes are available:
- Manual data entry as an alternative to AI-assisted receipt scanning;
- Data export in machine-readable JSON (Profile → Export my data);
- Personal support by email for anything that is hard to complete in the app.

If we cannot resolve your complaint, you can escalate:
- Netherlands / EU: the national enforcement body of your Member State. For the Netherlands this is reached via the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT).
- United Kingdom: the Equality Advisory and Support Service — equalityadvisoryservice.com.
- South Africa: the Equality Court under PEPUDA.
