CountaBill
Refund Policy
Last updated: 24 August 2026
CountaBill is currently free. There is nothing to refund today. This policy is published in advance so the terms are clear before any paid feature launches, and it takes effect at that point.
1. Where the purchase is made
All paid CountaBill features are sold through the platform app store:
- iOS: Apple App Store (in-app purchase or subscription).
- Android (future): Google Play (in-app purchase or subscription).
Refunds for App Store and Play purchases are handled by the platform, not by us. We cannot process an app-store refund on your behalf — but see §4 below, where we may support you if the platform declines.
2. How to request a refund
2.1 Apple App Store
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Sign in with your Apple ID.
- Find the CountaBill purchase and select "Request a refund".
Apple assesses the request under its own refund policy — typically approved for accidental purchases within 90 days.
2.2 Google Play (future)
- Open the Play Store → Account → Payments & subscriptions → Order history.
- Tap the purchase and select "Refund".
For subscriptions outside the 48-hour auto-refund window, Google may forward the request to us.
2.3 Direct purchases
Not offered. If we introduce direct card payment in future we will publish clear refund terms at that point and honour your statutory rights.
3. Your statutory rights
This policy does not affect your statutory consumer rights. Where the law gives you more than this policy does, the law wins.
| Where you are | What applies |
|---|---|
| EU / Netherlands | Directive 2011/83/EU — a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services, unless you consented to immediate provision and acknowledged losing the withdrawal right at purchase. Any paid flow we build will make that consent explicit. |
| United Kingdom | Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 — the same 14-day rule. |
| South Africa | Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. The section 44 electronic-transaction cooling-off does not apply where the service is delivered immediately with your consent; your other CPA rights (fair, reasonable, honest dealing) remain. |
| California | Automatic Renewal Law (Business & Professions Code §17600) — clear disclosure, easy cancellation, and renewal reminders at the point of sale. |
4. When we will support a refund as a goodwill gesture
Even where the platform declines, we may support a refund at our discretion if:
- the app failed to deliver the paid feature because of a bug we could not resolve in a reasonable time;
- you were double-charged because of a platform error we can evidence;
- the paid feature was materially misrepresented on the store listing.
We support a maximum of one goodwill refund per account per 12 months.
5. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time from your device:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Android (future): Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Cancelling stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. A refund for the current period is not automatic — see §2.
6. Contact
If a platform refund is declined and you believe you have a case under §3 or §4, email support-budget.app@logicalsolutionsinnovations.com with your order ID, the Apple ID or Google account email used, the date of purchase, and the reason. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
7. Changes to this policy
Material changes are announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. An existing subscription is not adversely affected mid-period by a change.
