Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
By using CountaBill you agree to this Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP"). It supplements the Terms of Service and the End User Licence Agreement. Breach may result in suspension or termination of your account and, where warranted, reporting to law enforcement.
1. Age
CountaBill is for users aged 18 and over. Do not use the app or create an account if you are under 18.

- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Circumvent the age gate;
- Attempt to unmask or re-identify anonymised training examples or aggregated data.
3. Prohibited content
Do not upload, store, or share:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — reported immediately to NCMEC / SAPS;
- Non-consensual intimate imagery;
- Personal information about other people that you have no right to process;
- Content that infringes any third-party copyright, trademark, or other IP right;
- Malware, viruses, or exploit code;

4. Prohibited technical activities
Do not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the app (except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law);
- Access the app or backend by any means other than the official app;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the service — including denial of service, brute-force, and credential stuffing;

5. Data and OCR misuse
The receipt-OCR feature is provided to help you record your own spending. Do not:
- Upload receipts or documents that are not yours, or that you are not authorised to process;
- Use the app as a bulk-processing OCR service for third parties;
- Extract personal information from images belonging to other people via this app.
6. No commercial use of aggregated data
Aggregated and anonymised statistics generated inside the app are for your personal information only. You must not resell, redistribute, or use them for commercial competitive analysis without a written commercial licence from Logical Solutions Innovations (Pty) Ltd.
7. Account security
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password and Apple ID secure;
- Enabling device-level authentication (Face ID or passcode);
- Reporting suspected account compromise to security@logicalsolutionsinnovations.com.
We may temporarily suspend an account where we suspect it has been compromised.
8. Reporting abuse
Report suspected AUP violations to abuse@logicalsolutionsinnovations.com or, if that address is not yet live, support-budget.app@logicalsolutionsinnovations.com. We aim to acknowledge reports within 5 business days.
9. Enforcement
We may, at our discretion and where reasonable and proportionate:
- Warn the user;
- Suspend the account pending investigation;
- Terminate the account and delete associated data, subject to legal-hold obligations;
- Report the conduct to competent authorities.
We will tell you what enforcement action was taken and why — unless doing so would prejudice an investigation or is legally prohibited.
10. Changes to this AUP
Material changes are announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect, or 7 days for changes required to address a security or legal risk.
